Hundreds of people packed the High Street in Dartford for the regular Saturday market. A new addition to the market was the ‘Dartford Creative’ event at One Bell Corner, located at the western end of the High Street. Offering FREE tea and cake, t-shirt printing, pencil portraits, and much more, the whole event was very popular with Dartfordians.
Dartford Creative is a new project that aims to encourage more young people and families to use Dartford High Street, and highlight and develop the work of Dartford artists and creative organizations. From now until Christmas, there will be a different artistic event happening every Saturday.
Next Saturday (17 August, 2013) you can try your hand at making your own jewellery! Work with a local artist to create your own distinctive style. And when your jewellery is complete sample the free chocolate fountain?!
