Mistletoe and Lime (the ladies of Wilmington Common)
Mistletoe and Lime is my painting from 2023 of three of the lime trees (during winter) that surround the common in Wilmington, Kent. Lime trees are one of the most common hosts for mistletoe in the UK. Mistletoe berries are often spread by birds from one tree to another. This is how the large, rounded clumps of mistletoe form in tree branches.
